Philip Slaby of the Guilford College History Department presented a research paper entitled, “Between Tradition and Taylorism: Recovery in the French Coalfields after World War I” at the 47th annual conference of The Economic & Business History Society.
The conference was held May 18-22 at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. This year’s conference focused on the theme of recoveries from upheavals, conflicts, and other shocks in economic and business history.
