Timothy Kircher, H. Curt ’56 and Patricia S. ’57 Hege Professor of History, will give two invited talks in Italy in December in Rome and Florence.
On Dec. 13, he will present “Teaching Dialogue: Renaissance Conversations on Life and Learning” to faculty and students at the Università degli Studi di Roma Tor Vergata; on Dec. 15, he will present “Humanist Conversations: The Creative Range of Renaissance Dialogues” as part of a lecture series at the Kunsthistorisches Institut / Max Planck Institut in Florence.
The presentations are part of an ongoing collaboration with other scholars to demonstrate the critical contemporary importance of Renaissance humanism.
