Biography
Bronwyn Corry Tucker is an instructor in the Environmental and Sustainability Studies department, and was part of the initial team in 2015 that developed the Sustainable Food Systems Major and Minor. She now enjoys teaching many classes exclusively outdoors, striving to incorporate experiential learning into every course. She has developed and revised multiple courses for the Sustainable Food Systems and Environmental Science majors, and especially enjoys collaborative teaching with other faculty members.
Bronwyn began her career at Guilford in the Office of Sustainability in 2013, where she engaged in campus-wide projects and monitoring systems aimed toward energy and waste reduction, and overall sustainability education.
She is a permanent farm-hand-in-training at Okfuskee Farm, her family’s diversified farm in Chatham County. She credits the shared fostering (and feeding) of children, community, land, and animals as ongoing professional development.
Prior to Guilford, from 2008-2013, Bronwyn taught AP Environmental Science at Northern Guilford High School after working many seasons at various outdoor education centers around the country.
