Biography


Dr. Chafic BouSaba is an Associate Professor of Computing Technology and Information Systems at Guilford College, where he has made significant contributions to academic programs and curriculum development. Holding a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from NC A&T State University, Dr. BouSaba has a distinguished 18-year tenure in academia, highlighted by his establishment of the Cyber and Network Security major at Guilford. His career in education began at Guilford College in 2008, and since then, he has held roles ranging from part-time adjunct instructor to Associate Professor since 2020. Dr. BouSaba has also impacted the industry as a software and verification engineer at IBM and brings a wealth of knowledge to his current positions, including serving as the Cyber and Network Security Coordinator. A recognized scholar, Dr. BouSaba's work includes over 18 publications in technology, security, and cloud technologies. He is a recipient of grants from prestigious organizations like Google IgniteCS, and his research contributions have supported projects for the Office of Naval Research and the Department of Defense.
