Biography
I teach beginning level Spanish here at Guilford College. I introduce the foundation of the language to my students and continually build upon that throughout the semester. I chose this position because I have a passion for language learning, and I wanted to be able to share that in my own classroom. In addition to teaching SPAN 101 and SPAN 102, I also conduct independent studies for students who wish to preserve their knowledge of the language until they can take more advanced courses for the major or minor in the Modern Languages Department. Through these studies, I am able to pinpoint what each student wants to improve in, whether it be their speaking skills through conversation, reading, writing, etc. and create projects based on their own needs and interests. I am very grateful for the opportunity to be at Guilford, teaching my students the importance of the Spanish language in the world and in our own city of Greensboro.
