Biography


Katie (she/her) started at Guilford College teaching Intro to Pickleball in the Fall of 2022 and has been a Certified Teaching Professional since 2021. Katie has taught private lessons, clinics and classes to students seeking higher advancement, as well as to the public school system to help implement pickleball into their P.E. curriculum for future generations.

Katie’s pickleball career took off when she started playing in competitive events/tournaments as of 2020 and has since advanced to play at the professional level in tournaments around the country. She has enjoyed the opportunity to remain a competitive athlete as an adult, and in turn, is very passionate about educating young minds on how exhilarating pickleball can be!

The 12-week Intro to Pickleball course will help you to learn the rules of the game as well as the strategy involved. Katie’s objective is to help your skills grow, but also promote a fun, friendly and competitive atmosphere where you work with a teammate to try and win the challenge.
