Biography


Teresa Shorter is a lecturer for Guilford's Business Department, with a strong passion for teaching and learning. She is experienced in higher education, having taught both business and technology classes, and is accomplished at teaching in-seat as well as online courses.  

With 24 years of experience working for two Fortune 500 companies and more than a decade in higher education, she brings real life situations to the classroom.

She is also a successful PMP-certified project manager. Teresa has taught project management to undergraduates at High Point University, and she has presented to leadership in various organizations, extolling the benefits of using project management.  She has worked with Guilford on such projects as the migration of Banner to a hosted environment, the review of Guilford’s Cybersecurity policies, and the implementation of Workday as Guilford’s ERP system.

Teresa loves to learn about new things, new places, and new people through her travels. Reading, travel writing, and photography are what she does in her spare time.
