No matter where you began your college career — you can graduate from Guilford. We welcome transfer students like you who have attended another college, university, or community college and want to finish their bachelor's degree at Guilford.
You are a Transfer Student If:
- You have a high school diploma or equivalency.
- You have attended some kind of post-high school college, university, or community college.
- You have a minimum 2.5 GPA at your current institution.
- You are younger than 23. (If you are 23 or older, please visit the Continuing Education page.)
- If you are an international student, please visit the International Student page.

Transferring Credits
- As a transfer student, you'll receive credit for courses you’ve taken at accredited junior colleges, community colleges, four-year colleges, and universities.
- Up to 64 semester hours of credit are allowed from two-year institutions.
- There is no limit to the number of semester hours that may transfer from regionally accredited four-year colleges.
- Credit is allowed for courses with a grade of C- or higher.
- While Guilford is based on a 4-credit-hour system, 3-credit-hour classes are accepted.
- Students must complete a minimum of 32 semester credits at Guilford and satisfy all degree requirements. A minimum of 124 semester credits is required to graduate and at least half of the major (16 credits) must be taken at Guilford.
