Terry Rolfe joined Guilford College as a Visiting Assistant Professor with the Physics department in Fall 2023. After completing his Ph.D. in 2019, he worked as a research scientist at the University of Washington in the Chemical Oceanography department.

Terry’s research focuses around greenhouse gases and the use of stable isotope composition to determine changes in source and sink processes. Research interests include climate and emissions modeling, analytical method development, and nitrogen cycle dynamics.

Prior to joining Guilford College, Terry was a Visiting Assistant Professor with Bates College in Maine split between the Physics department and the Earth and Climate Sciences department. Classes he taught there include Computational Physics, Earth System Science, Intro to Climate Modeling, and Thermodynamics.
