Applying Science to the Law

Enhance your studies in biology, law, criminal justice or journalism with a minor in Forensic Science.

You’ll study the techniques used by various disciplines to analyze evidence found at a crime scene. Focus on the meaning and significance of physical evidence and its role in criminal investigations.

The study of forensics makes science relevant and pertinent to the interests and goals of pre-law students and those interested in pursuing careers with the FBI or other law enforcement agencies, in pathology, in creative writing or with international agencies monitoring ethnic and political violence.

Hands-on Learning

Guilford Forensic Biology students have sharpened their skills during valuable internships at the following:

  • Greensboro and High Point police departments
  • Guilford, Forsyth, Alamance and Gaston county sheriffs’ departments
  • Forensic laboratory work in public and private organizations
