Guilford College is launching a transformative new messaging campaign, and we need passionate ambassadors to help share their story with the world.

Last fall, Guilfordians on and off campus participated in an exercise to identify the “Guilford Why” toward re-energizing our community with a shared sense of purpose and impact and better enabling us to speak to the world about who we are and what we offer.

Then, working in the spring with Lyndon Rego, executive in residence, representatives of departments across campus developed messaging for various audiences including prospective students, current students, faculty and staff, alumni and donors.

Findings from the “Guilford Why” exercise reflect College characteristics that make us unique and relevant, including:

  • Unapologetically liberal arts
  • Deep values rooted in Quaker principles
  • A transformative learning environment
  • Community at the heart of the Guilford experience
  • A campus environment that embodies wellbeing

Our new Marketing & Communications Strategic Plan is designed, in part, to build and strengthen brand awareness. We are updating brand positioning and messaging founded on the “Guilford Why.”

Over Homecoming & Family Weekend, we are beginning the soft rollout of a new messaging campaign, and we are looking for passionate ambassadors to share the Guilford story.
