Guilford College Art Gallery will present recent works by Art Department faculty in an exhibition from Jan.13, 2020 to March 4, 2020. A reception for the artists will be held Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Gallery, located in Hege Library on the Guilford campus. The reception is free, and the public is cordially invited to attend.
The Art Faculty Biennial Exhibition is a sampling of the recent creative research undertaken by the faculty, including both traditional and nontraditional approaches. Highlighting the diversity of ideas, materials, and imagery that these artists explore, the exhibition includes collage, drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, a mixed media sound installation, set & costume design, and ceramics.
Faculty exhibitors include: Part time Lecturer Roxanne Campbell featuring photography, Visiting Assistant Professor Katy Collier featuring printmaking, Associate Professor Mark Dixon ’96 featuring mixed media sound installation, Part Time Lecturer Alyssa Miserendino featuring photography, Part Time Lecturer Miranda Reichhardt featuring drawing, Visiting Half-Time Instructor Charles Tefft ’97 featuring ceramics, Part Time Lecturer William Paul Thomas featuring painting, Assistant Professor of Theatre Studies Robin Vest featuring set & costume design, and Assistant Professor Antoine Williams featuring mixed media and collage.
Guilford College Art Gallery is open weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sunday afternoons from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Gallery will be closed for the Martin Luther King holiday on Jan. 20.
