Rallying Campus Spirit: a Rejuvenated Campus

A 2200-square-foot Community Room on the lower level provides a highly modern and collaborative recreation space.
A large demonstration kitchen with granite counters, stainless steel appliances and a demonstration mirror for cooking classes is a major feature of the new space.
Bathrooms were updated with higher ceilings, durable materials, such as marble, granite and terrazzo, as well as newly designed private bathing and dressing areas.
A central HVAC system was installed, along with high-speed internet and LED lighting in each bedroom.
Community areas were added on each floor, including living rooms and gathering "nooks".
One of the oldest buildings on campus, most recently known as the Hut, was transformed into a coffee shop and reopened in Spring 2019.
A fresh new whitewash brightens up the exterior and inside provides plenty of gathering space for students to relax or study.
Rachel's Rose Cottage offers guests locally roasted coffee, tea, pastries and other snacks.
Renovations to Founders Dining Hall were completed in Fall 2019. The new facility is in the same location, but is a total renovation.
Nine stations include the traditional hot line, along with pizza, a chef's station, and the beloved vegan station.
The renovations created a space where people are excited to sit down and eat together.
The renovations, completed in Fall 2018, added a new art gallery, collaborative classroom, senior studios, and a fully equipped ceramics and sculpture studio.
The upgraded fitness center provides a place for student-athletes, their teams, and the greater Guilford community to gather and exercise.
Restorations include new, state-of-the-art equipment such as treadmills, ellipticals, weight machines and free weights.
With the recent renovations to the women's locker rooms, each women's sports team has its own space.

State-of-the-art demonstration kitchens, glass-windowed lounges full of natural light, and large-screen TVs are just a few of the exciting new features around Guilford College's campus. Over the past few years, multiple buildings across campus have been restored to provide students with updated spaces for living, studying, learning, and coming together as a community.
