Admission seeking faculty volunteers for Spring into Guilford in April

Admission is seeking faculty volunteers to help on two Saturdays in April – 12th and 26th – with Spring into Guilford, a key activity in the process to confirm enrollment of admitted students for fall 2025.

“Spring into Guilford is a wonderful time for us to showcase what makes Guilford so cool … and how we, as faculty, can support students during their time here,” says David Hildreth, Lincoln Financial Professor of Education Studies and Faculty-in-Residence for Admission.

Help is needed for the following:

Mock classes: Two volunteers are needed to conduct classes from 1:15-2 pm. Rooms available are as follows: King (123, 201, 203, 226, and 223), Frank (101 and 205), Forbes Athletic Center, Collaboratory, Leak Room, Duke 309 and Carnegie Room.

Academic fair: Volunteers from academic areas are needed from 2-3 pm on the quad (rain location Founders galleries) to speak with students and families about majors and programs.

Persons interested in teaching a mock class should email David (dhildret@guilford.edu) and Kiersten Walker '24 in Admission (kwalker7@guilford.edu), identifying the day(s) you want to hold the class, the desired room and the general topic of the class.

Those who are interested in representing their department at the academic fair should register by using this link.
