Guilford's Business Summit will explore AI in our lives and work

The third annual summit will explore how businesses and communities can navigate Artificial Intelligence with purpose and responsibility.

Artificial intelligence is changing how we communicate, do business, manage our energy grid, and even diagnose and treat illnesses. And it is evolving more rapidly than we could have predicted. Just last year:

  • 70% of companies integrated AI-powered automation into their business.
  • AI diagnostics improved patient outcomes by 40%.
  • Autonomous vehicles reduced road accidents by up to 30%.

Those successes have not come without problems. Companies that produce the models driving AI and governments that are attempting to regulate this frontier environment have struggled to institute appropriate guardrails. On Thursday, April 24, the 2025 Guilford College Business Summit entitled The Rise of AI: Are We Ready? will explore the opportunities, challenges and ethical considerations surrounding AI’s rapid integration into our lives and industries.

Register to join us at Sternberger Auditorium in Founders Hall for an inspiring day of keynote presentations, panel discussions and networking opportunities with leaders at the forefront of AI Innovation.  Lenovo’s Tom Butler, a trailblazer in AI research and development, and IBM’s Phaedra Boinodiris, renowned for her work in AI ethics and human-centered design, will explore how businesses and communities can navigate this frontier with purpose and responsibility.

The Business Summit is made possible by Presenting Sponsor Truliant and Leadership Sponsor NASDAQ.
