Hege Professor of History Tim Kircher served as Distinguished Advisor to the new Virginia Tech Institute for Leadership in Technology, which welcomed its first class of Fellows this academic year. The Fellows, professionals working in the technology field, are taking classes in history, religion / philosophy, and the creative arts, in order to learn more about the power of the humanities in their field. Tim worked with the Institute's founder, Rishi Jaitly, in designing lectures and readings around historical writings that ranged from 9th-C. China, the Renaissance and the 20th and 21st century.
