The Guilford Admissions Ambassadors Network needs the help of Guilfordians like you in connecting with the College's first-year students.
With the start of college right around the corner, we know that for first-year Guilford students, life might feel a little crazy, even overwhelming. The Guilford Admissions Ambassadors Network needs your help in making our new students feel welcome.
The network is looking for Guilfordians of all ages who are willing to connect with a first-year student in your city or nearby this summer to welcome them to the College and answer any questions they might have.
Esther Hall '74, who leads Guilford Admissions Ambassadors Network, says the time meeting with a student is entirely up to each individual. “You can meet just once for ice cream or exchange contact info,” she says. “What’s important is that we let them know we are here for them.”
Ambassadors are needed in the following states and cities:
Connecticut: Hartford.
Massachusetts: Florence, Framingham and Pembroke.
Maryland: District Heights, Silver Spring, White Marsh and Millington.
New Jersey: Blackwood and Montclair.
New York: Buffalo, Brooklyn, North Salem and Tarrytown.
Pennsylvania: Bridgeville and Thomasville.
Virginia: Amissville and Culpepper, Penhood, Glen Allen, Grottoes, Salem, Smithfield, Roanoke and Woodbridge
