A CNN story on China’s growing intelligence capabilities included insights from Lincoln Financial Professor or Political Science George Guo.

The story published June 15 stated that Chinese leader Xi Jinping has pursued a far more assertive foreign policy than his predecessors during his past decade in power.

It quotes George as noting that’s been accompanied by “a consistent emphasis on enhancing intelligence capabilities, modernizing technology, and improving coordination among different security agencies.” 

George, who has taught Political Science at Guilford since 2002, was featured in the April 2023 issue of Guilford College Magazine. He’s a China expert and go-to media source.
