Jacqui is in her first year at George Washington University acquiring a Master’s degree in International Education, with a focus in higher education and program exchange for marginalized groups. She currently serves as a Co-Lab Leader for GWU’s Refugee Education Advancement Lab (REAL) and Partnership Manager of the GWU International Education Association.

She also serves as the fundraising chair on the Women’s Global Education Project’s Associate Board, focusing on ‘Say no to FGM’ and female literacy initiatives in rural Kenya and Senegal.
During a three year stint teaching English in Thailand, she worked with stateless orphans in Northern Thailand, internally displaced populations in Myanmar following the Rohingya crisis, and other short term language programs in Malaysia and Cambodia. She continues her work with the ESL community with the Washington English Center, teaching English and Citizenship to immigrant populations in the greater D.C. area.
Jacqui currently works as a Policy Analyst at the Institute of International Education, focusing on exchange visa sponsorship. Prior, she worked for the American Institute of Foreign Study for just over three years as a Managing Consultant supporting outbound study abroad programs, focusing on J-1 visa programming.
