Intramurals Returning in Spring 2022

The Guilford College P.E. Center recently announced that intramural sports will return to campus in spring 2022.

All full-time students, faculty, and staff are eligible to participate. They'll have the opportunity to take part in a couple of leagues, as well as a few tournaments, including 3-on-3 basketball, corn hole, e-sports, and more.

"We're still working on a few foundational pieces to the program, so we don't have an exact start date," says Ryan Madison, director of the P.E. Center. "We're aiming to begin intramural play in February."

As of right now, based on the College's current COVID-19 policies and procedures, masks will be required to participate in all indoor and outdoor intramural sports.

Participants will use a software called IMLeagues to sign their teams up, see what time they're playing, and to find out the results of their competition.

The winners of the tournaments or playoff brackets (for league sports) will receive a special edition Intramural Champion t-shirt.

The P.E. Center is also hiring students for work-study positions within the Intramural Department. Anyone interested in working in intramurals — or those with questions about the teams and competition — can contact Ryan at rmadison@guilford.edu.
