Published by the Guilford College Department of Mathematics from 1969 to 1994, the Journal of Undergraduate Mathematics showcased the work of Guilford faculty and students as well as students from other undergraduate mathematics programs throughout the United States.
The publication was founded and edited by faculty member J.R. Boyd, notable for his teaching style, which adapted the Moore method for use with undergraduates. In relation to the journals, J.R. also organized 13 national undergraduate mathematics conferences. This collection also includes the companion series, Monographs on Undergraduate Mathematics.
