Steve serves as the Dean of Students and is the liaison between Title IX and the Division of Academic and Student Affairs. Steve works with Title IX accommodations, provides support to both reporting and responding students, and helps to educate the campus community about the importance of Title IX.

As Director, Shay assists with compliance matters related to resolution and investigation of all reports of sexual harassment, sexual violence and intimate partner violence involving students, visitors, vendors and for training, prevention and education efforts. Prior to working at Guilford, Shay served as Director of Victim Services at Family Services of the Piedmont. She brings more than 14 years of victim-services experience, both in direct service and administration. Shay is also a Child Forensic Interviewer and holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
